A team of 13 male and 13 female swimmers from 11 different Essex swimming clubs travelled to Sheffield for the 2024 National County Team Championships held at Ponds Forge swimming pool on Sunday 6th October 2024.
The Essex team swum well and should be very proud of their achievements with several swimmers swimming personal best times.
The team retained their fifth position in the top division, in a close fought competition, just two points behind the fourth placed county and only 5 points behind the third placed county. The County President congratulated the team after the competition saying he had now attended four National County Team Championships and this year’s Essex team was the best he had ever seen.
