On Saturday, September 6th, the inaugural Essex Swimability Gala took place in Braintree, proudly supported by Billericay Lions. The event brought together several clubs from across Essex and London, creating a fantastic atmosphere of inclusion and competition.
The gala was a great success, with over 50 swimmers—both classified and unclassified—taking part. We were also honoured by a special appearance from local Paralympian Brock Whiston, who swims for Barking & Dagenham and London Disability. Brock made time to support the event just before flying out to Singapore for the Para Swimming World Championships.
