Swim England Essex had a number of athletes competing in international events over the summer and we would like to extend our congratulations and appreciation of their achievements.
Laura Stephens
Representing Team England, Laura achieved a superb individual silver medal in the 200m butterfly at the Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham. Buoyed by a home crowd Laura dug deep and gave it her all down the last 50m to secure her silver medal. Laura was also part of the Women’s 4×100 Medley Relay team which swam to third place claiming the bronze medal.
