Following the announcements from both Swim England and East Region cancelling this year’s competitions, Essex Swimming have taken everything into consideration and decided to cancel this year’s Winter Championships. We feel that it is too soon to run a high level meet as there are so many unanswered questions surrounding Covid-19 and the guidelines we must follow to run a gala. Also, swimmers would have been out of the water for some time and we don’t want them to rush their return to training.
