East Region Water Polo 2016 and going forward

After 3 months as Water Polo Manager for the East region I now see 2016 drawing to a close amid an exciting time for the sport in this region and the country as a whole. In December the U14 boys and girls put in some fantastic performances at the Inter Regional Championships with the boys finishing fourth and the girls finishing third. Well done to all the players and coaches on these fantastic showings.

Coaching Opportunity at Basildon & Phoenix SC

Basildon & Phoenix Swimming Club are a progressive and expanding swimming club based in South Essex which was awarded Beacon status by the ASA in 2013. The club are seeking a highly motivated Level 2 Swimming Coach and Teacher to work with the swimmers across the pathway from Academy level (7-10 years) through to Essex County Age Group qualifiers up to the age of 13yrs.

National Inter County Competition

Essex ASA competed at this year’s National Inter County Competition. Competing in Division 1 against the best counties in the country was a tough task but the entire team pulled together and swam brilliantly. With a great team spirit and huge enthusiasm, Essex finished 14th overall which was the highest the team has finished for many years and remained in the 1st division.
