Data Protection Changes – Is Your Club Prepared?

As you may be aware, regulations surrounding data protection are changing from 25th May 2018.

Clubs handle large amounts of data about their staff and athletes so please make sure you are aware of the latest information to protect your club from potential prosecution.

More information can be found HERE.

Welfare of our Teachers and Coaches

Just a small reminder that even though our teachers and coaches are often seen as ‘super-human’, they do still need holiday entitlement, a healthy and safe work environment, and renumeration for out of pocket expenses. This is even true for those that volunteer!!!!

All coaches and teachers should have contracts in place, which clearly explains the above benefits for them, regardless of if they are paid or not.

Swim Safe Volunteers Needed!

Swim Safe will this year be coming to Stanborough Lakes (Herts)13th- 17th Aug, and Harwich (Essex) 27th June- 5th Aug, to deliver water safety lessons to schools and pre-booked lessons, for 7- 4 years olds.

The scheme is looking for volunteers to help as swimming teachers (training will be provided) or by helping with the registration desks, setting up etc.

If you are interested in volunteering, please get in touch with charlotte.francis@swimming.org to find out more.
