London Swimming Annual Conference and Council Meeting

Masters Swimming Lead for London Appointment 
The Region is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Jones from Bexley Masters SC as the Masters Swimming Lead. See HERE for further details.

London Region Winter Championships 2017 – Helpers Required 
The London Region Winter Championships 2017 are fast approaching.  As always, we cannot effectively run the championships without the help and support of clubs and parents, so we are looking for volunteers to assist us with the non-technical roles.

Club Development Water Polo Tournaments Update 
All the players taking part in these tournaments have not played competitive Water Polo before.
The U15’s leg of these tournaments took place on the 24th of September at Whitgift School. 40 athletes from Barnet, Lewisham, Croydon B and Hillingdon Penguins took part. The U13s leg takes place on 26th November from 5.45pm, also at Whitgift School. There will be 5 teams taking part from Barnet, Lewisham, Kingston, Haringey and Hackney. These are self-funded tournaments that are promoted through London Swimming.

London Region Team International Meet 2018
London Region are pleased to, once again, arrange to take a team of London Region swimmers to compete abroad in 2018. The exact location and meet details will be published once they have been confirmed and at that time the Selection Policy will also be  available. Please note a condition of selection will be that swimmers have entered and competed in the London Region Winter Championships at the LAC on 4th & 5th November 2017

London Region Swimming Coaches Forum is recruiting now !
London Swimming is looking for 4 Level 3 Coaches to join the Swimming Coaches Forum. See HERE for further details.

ASA Approved courses
You can find details of Level 1, Level 2 and CPD courses being delivered across the region HERE

All licensed officials are required to attend formal briefing sessions regarding the rule changes as soon as possible after their implementation. It is a required module for relicensing.See HERE for sessions coming up.

Funding – London Sport’s funding search tool can help sports organisations and individuals living and operating in the capital to access what funding grants and bursaries there are available – if your club is looking for funding then it is definitely worth a look HERE

Swim England National Awards 2017
The 2017 National Awards will be held on 11 November at The Great Hall at the University of Birmingham and we are excited to announce that our host for the day will be Olympic diving silver medallist Leon Taylor!
Finalists will be receive their invitations shortly, but everyone is welcome to join in the celebration as tickets are now available to purchase.See HERE for further details
